An Interview with Mr. Swapnil Jain | Founder of The Prop Co.

We invited Mr. Swapnil Jain, Founder of The Prop Co, for an interview with TheWeddingJournals. Let’s get to know about his entrepreneurial journey.

  1. Tell us something about yourself and your company.

I started my career four years back, just after my 12th. I always wanted to pursue a different career where I could explore the world, meet new people and that enhances my personality. So, I decided to enter the event industry where I could get an opportunity to explore the world and pursue what I dreamt about.
Just after 2 years of working in the event industry, I started my own props company by the name of THE PROP CO.

The Prop Co. provides you the superior quality decorative props for your event. We provide creative and unique decorative products to design your event as per your vision and aesthetics.

2. What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?

The Prop Co. not only provides the best decorative props to its client but also we recommend the kind of theme decor that will look best to our client. Along with our business, we also focus on customer satisfaction.

3. What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

Initially, when I started my own company I faced some issues in decision making and that led to some failed business ideas. But to recover from it, I started taking surveys to understand consumer behavior and market needs. After analyzing the surveys, I understood where the problem was and now I’m unstoppable.

4. What are your expansion plans?

Currently, I’m planning to reach smaller cities because of the high demands there. Smaller cities like Silvassa, Vapi, and Daman. We’re planning to open our branch in these cities because of high demands.

5. Tell our audience more about your failures? How should one bounce back?

As stated above, when I was in the initial stage I had no idea about market needs and consumer behavior which led to some failed business ideas and poor pricing strategy.

One should do their audience analysis and know your consumers well to run your business successfully.

6. How do you define success?

Being a successful entrepreneur means more than starting new ventures every other day. It means the right attitude towards a business and the determination and grit to achieve success. A successful entrepreneur always has a strong sense of self-confidence and a healthy opinion of their skills and abilities.

7. Please share with us some of the challenges you faced in your journey.

Initially, when I started my own company I faced some issues in decision making and that led to some failed business ideas and poor pricing strategy. But to overcome it, I started taking surveys to understand consumer behavior and market needs. After analyzing the surveys, I understood where the problem was and now I’m unstoppable.

8. What would advise someone starting up and particularly to women entrepreneurs?

  1. Do not be afraid to fail.
  2. Keep learning and be confident about your ventures.
  3. Minimize negativity, ignore negative comments, and keep moving on.
  4. Support #DoNotDoItAlone.
  5. Think of BIG plans.
