Priyanka Chopra Nick Jonas are happily married now, but the story about how the duo first met and how things unfolded and blossomed into a love story is known by very few. They are believed to have met first at the 2017 Met Gala.
The duo married in a way similar to a fairytale. They got married as per Hindu and Christian traditions at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
And, ever since Priyanka Chopra Nick Jonas got married, there have been a lot of pictures surfacing on the internet. If Nick grabbed all the eyeballs, wearing a desi sherwani and looking dapper, Priyanka was no less, wearing a red lehenga that meant paparazzi going gaga for pictures. There was the initial three-day celebration that featured a Hindu ceremony, a Mehendi and a Sangeet. Moreover, there was a Christian vow exchange according to Jonas’ faith.
And, then the duo had another reception in New Delhi. Prior to their wedding, there’s been much buzz about the duo’s brief courtship stint and also the age difference. Chopra is 36, while Jonas is 26. Nonetheless, their wedding seemed to be a leaf taken straight from the pages of Hollywood.
Priyanka’s much-anticipated dresses included a mix of Indian and Western designers. She was spotted donning the bridal hue that looked enchantingly beautiful, to say the least. When it was time for her Western ceremony, she was spotted wearing a custom gown by Ralph Lauren. Incidentally at the 2017 Met Gala, where the duo met for the first time, even back then their dress was designed by Lauren. According to reports, it took 1,826 hours to create the embroidered column dress. The gown not only seemed beautiful, but it was sentimental in every sense of the word. As eight different words and phrases were hand-stitched onto the dress, that included Nick’s name, their wedding date, and their parents’ name.
While Nick’s brothers – Kevin and Joe and Joe’s fiancée played key parts in the couple’s bridal party, Nick and Priyanka extended warm hands and welcome a huge number of VIPs for their celebrations in India and played host to a total of 225 guests.
The most anticipated invitees though – the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, unfortunately, had to cancel their plan owing to Meghan, who was five months pregnant then.
The wedding was planned by Aditya Motwane, Sandeep Khosla, owners of ‘Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’ and ‘Motwane Entertainment and Weddings’. The duo also had the honor to design Priyanka’sMehendi and Sangeet looks besides other numerous wedding outfits for guests.
For their Western ceremony, Priyanka and Nick had 12 bridesmaid and 12 groomsmen. WhileMubinaRattonsey, was the maid of honor, her manager and one of the bridesmaids, AnjulaAcharia, got a shout out from the bride for playing a key role in planning and executingPriyanka’s bridal shower on Chopra’s Instagram. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s engagement ring first appeared on her Instagram account where she had shared it alongside Bollywood actress RavinaTandon.
