The latest wedding in town – the wedding of Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar was no less! It was an elegant affair that took place on January 27 in Goa. Read on to know all the exciting details about this wedding further!
Mouni Roy is a popular actress who stars predominantly in Hindi soaps, reality shows, and movies. She is also a Kathak dancer as well as a singer. Her foray into the television space occurred in 2007, and her career graph has sky-rocketed ever since!
Suraj Nambiar is an investment banker who is based out of Dubai. He is originally from Bengaluru. He graduated from the prestigious Stanford University and currently heads the Capital Markets in the UAE.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar have been dating for the past three years and decided to get hitched eventually!
The Glitzy Affair
The wedding took place according to an amalgamation of traditional Bengali rituals as well as Kerala rituals. It spanned a period of 3 days, comprising all the conventional ceremonies. Goa was the venue, and the wedding took place on January 27, 2022.

As mentioned in the invitation, the pre-wedding ceremonies took place on 26th January 2022. The haldi ceremony began at noon at the Viya Home – Moira.
The bride and the groom dazzled their all-time best in their white outfits, smeared with haldi and sporting happy smiles throughout!
The mehendi ceremony took place following the haldi ceremony. Mouni Roy sported a yellow lehenga. Her mehendi design was minimalistic and elegant, designed by artist Halima Khan.
On 27th January, a Kerala-style wedding took place in the morning at the Hilton Resort. Mouni chose a traditional Kerala kasavu saree for this ceremony and complemented it with customary temple jewellery. Suraj sported a kurta set for this occasion.
Following this, the Bengali-style wedding took place in the evening on the same day. The red lehenga worn by Mouni Roy was designed by Sabyasachi, the prominent label for high-profile weddings.
Post Wedding Ceremonies
The Sangeet ceremony was scheduled for the following day, 28th January. Mouni Roy sported a gorgeous, gold-coloured lehenga for this event. This ceremony involved dance performances, a cake-cutting ceremony and heartwarming speeches by the couple’s beloved!
