Such was the wedding of Dipika Verma Setia and Ssthit Setia- expressed by its fun-filled, joyous events with personal touches in all the right places.

The back story- Jab They Met

Dipika verma setia is a Darjeeling-born girl and Ssthit setia is a Punjabi with roots in the royal lands of Rajasthan. They both shifted to Delhi in 2009 for their studies and chose different colleges. Like the quintessential romantic stories, they were introduced by a common friend.

After that, their friendship grew with having meals together, exchanging text messages, listening to “Love story “by Taylor Swift in the car, having talks every day. As their college days ended, they moved on with their life with their individual memories.

Cut to 2016- after almost 6 years, they met at a Christmas party in Hauz Khas. After the initial pleasant surprise, and the most affectionate hug, they went for a stroll at the fort together. From there, their story developed and bloomed to a walk of life together. Naturally, their wedding saga was steeped with the essence of these sweet memories.

The wedding affair was fully packed with all the fun elements and was superbly managed by Diakon Events Goa, their planners. They executed the event beautifully and remembered to incorporate the personal touches of the bride and groom. There were four events for the wedding over two days. Let us go over the event.

3rd February 2020- Morning-Rain Dance party

In the beautiful location of Holiday Inn, Goa, the party was arranged by Dipika and Ssthit for their respective family and friends to mingle and get to know each other. The theme of the party was the popular show ‘Friends’ where the bride and groom came wearing dresses of their own design. The event was conceptualized by Shubhchintaks and photographed by Picture Patch.

3rd February 2020, Evening- Engagement and Bollywood Theme Sangeet Night

The sangeet night was arranged on a Bollywood theme as per the wish of the groom and bride. The Concept/Entertainment/ Choreography was arranged by Shubhchintaks and it was a “one-take” affair.

The wedding duo matched their outfits for this occasion; with the bride wearing a bridal gown from Study by Janak, New Delhi, and jewelry from Sattva jewelers, Kolkata. The groom was looking dapper wearing a tux from Brahaan by Narains. The makeup and hair were done by Sukanya M, Goa.

4th February 2020, Morning, HOLI-E-HALDI

Dipika Verma Setia and Groom - Ssthit Setia: Wedding

A staple of the Indian wedding, this occasion is a fun-filled event where the bride and groom are smeared with turmeric or Haldi by friends and family. The occasion turned into a mini Holi with the groom getting covered with the Haldi. The dresses were again matched and designed by the wedding duo. The venue, photography, entertainment providers were the same.

4th February 2020, Evening- Wedding and reception

After all the preamble and the festivities, this moment was the culmination of their months of wait. The wedding took place on the beachside venue of Holiday Inn Resort, Goa. The Mandap had their vows written on their either side and they became married completing their pheras in the mellow light of the twilight.

Dipika was looking just like the beautiful Indian bride wearing a deep-red lehenga from Payal Keyal, New Delhi with make-up and hair done by Sukanya M. Her jewelry was self-designed and made in RK Jewelers, Kolkata.

The groom was oozing a royal aura with an ivory sherwani from Bharat Studios, New Delhi, accompanied by a red stole. The event planners, venue provider, and photographers were Diakon Events, Holiday Inn, Goa and Picture Patch respectively.
